Large = Large remnant - a square, or rectangular area
that is not smaller than 11 inches wide by 30 inches

Mixed = a combination of Small and Large remnants
Ounce = how much one square yard weighs - The
higher the number, the thicker the fabric
Remnant = Odd shaped piece of fabric that is left
after the manufacturer has cut their product out of it
Salvage = the finished edge that runs along each side
of the fabric
Small = Small remnant - a square, or rectangular area
that is not larger than 11 inches wide by 30 inches
long but nothing smaller than 1 inche wide by 15
inches long
Salvage = The factory finished edges along each side of
the fabric
Width = The distance from one Salvage to the other
Heat seal = Sealing the edges by use of a hot knife so
as to prevent unraveling
LB = Pounds
YD = Yards
